Our services are generally designed for kids ages 3–8, though older kids and adults enjoy them too! Since the magic show relies heavily on audience interaction, it's recommend primarily for audiences where at least 50% of the kids will be 3.5 years old or older - for the best experience.

No initial prepayment is required to book, however a valid credit card will be required at the time of booking. A 30% prepayment will be automatically charged to your card 3 business days before your event (the Wednesday before your event for weekend bookings).

Absolutely! We use Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor, so your full card number is never visible to us and is securely encrypted at all times.

If more guests arrive than expected, our artists will do their best to simplify designs so as to get to as many kids as possible within the allotted time. You are also welcome to ask the artist directly if they can extend their time. Or you can contact our team at (714) 482-3213 or team@theimaginators.com to request a change to your booking; however, changes are subject to artist availability and we cannot guarantee we will be able to make an adjustment to your booking within 24 hours of your event.

Yes. We carry a $1M General Liability Insurance Policy for your peace of mind.

The remaining balance (70%) will be automatically be charged to your credit card on file 3 business days after your event.

We accept bookings on a first-come, first-served basis so we recommend securing your date as soon as possible. We generally recommend booking at least 2–4 weeks in advance, especially for weekends when demand is high. If you’re planning a birthday party or school event during busy seasons (spring and fall), it’s best to secure your date as early as possible to guarantee availability. You can book as early as 4 months in advance and as late as 48 hours in advance (if there is still availability).

Yes! Many clients book our magic show along with face painting and balloon twisting to keep kids entertained for their entire event. And even if you book multiple services, it's a great deal as you'll only be charged one booking fee per event.

Yes. However if services do not overlap, it is possible that the same artist may provide more than one of your services.

Yes. We provide everything our artists will need including tables, chairs, and for the magic show, a blanket for the kids to sit on and sound equipment as needed. You only have to provide the space and the excited guests!

Yes! We can perform indoors or outdoors and do not require any access to electrical power. Also it's worth noting that balloons will pop more frequently outdoors due to sharp grass, heat, and even changes in humidity.

If you’re not completely satisfied with the entertainment, simply email us at team@theimaginators.com describing why you were disappointed and a voucher for the full amount paid will be issued for you to use at a future event.

Generally we recommend starting the face painting at the start of your event or 15-30 minutes after the start time. There is usually no down-side to having the face paint begin early in the event and it makes all later activities more fun! Kids love the extra attention their face paint gets them throughout the event and since they'll have to remove their face paint at least by bedtime, having it as early as possible maximizes the enjoyment! However for events with water activities, moving face painting towards the end of the event is recommended.

Currently, each artist offers a slightly different list of options. Here is a sample list of balloon designs close to what you can expect. We aim for designs that maximize fun and minimize time.

For most events, we recommend placing balloon art near the end of the event so that the balloons are the most likely to make it home in one piece. Due to heat or grass or just rough play, the balloons can often pop before the kids leave. So to minimize disappointments, ideally the balloon artist would still be present to fix things as kids are leaving your event. If the event is all indoors and climate-controlled, then booking balloon art at the beginning of the event would work much better as the balloons should have a much better chance of lasting the whole event.

No, we cannot guarantee any specific designs in advance as each artist currently works from a slightly different list of designs. Also we cannot guarantee any specific artist for your event.

No, we do not offer balloon decorating at this time. But you're welcome to run ideas by your artist when they arrive. (For example: "Would you be able to put a pink tiger on these 6 tables before starting with the kids?") However, we cannot guarantee any specific designs in advance as each artist has slightly different list of designs.

Not at all! Kids (and adults) are welcome to get back in line for more balloons if time allows! Usually the artist will ask around to make sure each kid has at least one balloon first.

We recommend starting the magic show 1-2 hours after your event begins. Any earlier can be distracting as kids arrive, and starting later risks parents leaving before the show ends. Avoid giving kids food during the show to keep their full attention and interaction.

The optimal time to cut cake is immediately after the magic show. That timing works great because the kids will still be all in one place. Also if a kid has been waiting in line a long time for balloons or face painting, it may be hard to get them to leave the line for cake. The cake can be served before the magic show, but it is not recommended that kids are given anything to eat during the show as it will require the kid's full attention and interaction.

We've found that holding onto balloons can be distracting for kids during the magic show. So if the balloon is scheduled before the magic show, usually the magician will ask the kids to leave their balloons in another room during the show. If the event is entirely outdoors, then it is recommended to have the balloon twisting after the magic show. Generally, we advise to book the balloon art after the magic show.

No, providing shade is never required. Though during extreme heat, it is appreciated. Some artists may bring their own shade.

Usually the artist will be in some kind of professional dress like all black or a nice dress shirt. We do not offer clown, princess, or superhero services at the moment.

If there's a chance of rain, we recommend having an indoor backup venue ready. If an alternative location isn’t available, being able to provide cover or shelter (like a pop-up tent) is recommended.

No, we do not currently offer the option to book one artist that performs multiple services. However if you book multiple services that do not overlap, it is possible some services may end up being performed by the same artist.

Each artist will require a 6'X6' space. If you're not sure where the artist or magic show should be located at your event, upon arrival your artist can recommend the best spot to setup.

No, our artists will always bring the chairs and tables they require for their setup. However you're welcome to offer extra chairs and tables to your artist upon their arrival. For the kids during the magic show, it is recommended to provide chairs or a large blanket if the kids will be sitting on the ground.
